Ylana Stumer Hersh practices in the areas of corporate, corporate finance, entertainment and intellectual property law.
On corporate transactions, Ms. Hersh has represented clients and managed teams of attorneys to the successful closing of transactions in an array of industries and has deep experience in all steps of corporate transactions, from entity formation to final execution of financing or sale, including negotiating term sheets and commitment letters, organizing due diligence and related reporting, and negotiating and drafting financing documentation.
Ms. Hersh’s hands-on experience in the entertainment industry started early through her years of competitive figure skating, followed by her training at ICM Partners where she worked in Business and Legal Affairs. Prior to joining RPJ, Ms. Hersh was an Associate in the Corporate Group at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where she managed a team of Associates and obtained years of experience working on sophisticated corporate finance transactions, including in the fields of telecommunications, hospitality, entertainment and media.
Ms. Hersh is admitted to practice in New York.
Ms. Hersh received her undergraduate degree in Sport Management from the University of Michigan (B.A., University Honors, 2013), and her law degree and Master of Business Administration from Fordham University (J.D./M.B.A., 2017), where she served as an Associate Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal, and an Executive Board Member of Fordham Law Women.
Ms. Hersh is conversational in American Sign Language.
Services & Honors
Ms. Hersh has a strong commitment to pro bono service and received a pro bono award while at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where she represented creative talent and small business owners as well as non-profit organizations and community development groups with their financings.
Ms. Hersh is also a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist.
