Happy Pub Day to Tourmaline!

RPJ client Tourmaline’s new book MARSHA, along with the accompanying children’s book One Day in June was published today. MARSHA chronicles the life and legacy of Marsha P. Johnson, the storied gay liberation and transgender rights activist and self-proclaimed drag queen. Johnson was a pivotal part of the gay rights movement in New York City in the 1960s and 70s and played a key role in the Stonewall Uprising.

On May 22nd from 7pm-10pm Tourmaline will be reading from MARSHA at the Brooklyn Museum. The evening, which is set to celebrate Marsha P. Johnson’s legacy, will also feature a performance by Egyptt LaBeija and conversation with Phoebe Robinson.

Congratulations to Tourmaline on this tremendous achievement. You won’t want to miss this splendid evening honoring an iconic activist and artist. For tickets and more information, visit: Brooklyn Reads: Marsha with Tourmaline and Phoebe Robinson · Brooklyn Museum.
