RPL Sponsors Sixth Annual Athena Film Festival
From February 18-21, 2016, at the Barnard College campus in New York, the Athena Film Festival will hold its sixth annual celebration of women and leadership through an engaging weekend of feature films, documentaries and shorts that highlight women’s leadership in real life and the fictional world.
The four-day Festival kicks off with the New York premiere of Trapped, the highly anticipated reproductive rights documentary, directed by Dawn Porter. At its centerpiece will be Suffragette, directed by Sarah Gavron. Additionally, this year’s Festival will include a three-part Master Class series on documentary filmmaking, led by Sheila Nevins, an Athena List Reading of The Burning Season, and panels and workshops for filmmakers.
RPL Partners Helen D. (“Heidi”) Reavis and Nicole Page are privileged to serve on the Festival’s Honorary Host Committee.
