RPL Partner Nicole Page and Associate Allison Grein to Lead Workshop at Athena Film Festival
On Saturday, February 11th, RPL Partner and principal entertainment attorney Nicole Page will lead a workshop with Associate Allison (“Ally”) M. Grein entitled “Contract Landmines: How to Navigate and Negotiate the Legal Side of Filmmaking” as part of the 7th Annual Athena Film Festival at Barnard College. Ms. Page will help participants understand the legal landscape of the business, including when to engage counsel and how to “decode” legal contracts related to filmmaking and the industry. By reviewing important and standard contract clauses, participants will learn how to protect themselves from legal pitfalls and sticky situations in the future.
The workshop will be held in the James Room, 418 Barnard Hall at 3pm. To reserve tickets for the event, click here.
Ms. Page speaks and writes regularly on topical legal issues in entertainment and employment law and is proud to serve as President of the Board of Women Make Movies. Ms. Grein has spoken on a range of intellectual property, employment, and entertainment law topics at various events. Learn more about RPL’s entertainment practices here.
