RPJ Sponsoring the 10th Annual Athena Film Festival
From February 27 to March 1, the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College and Women and Hollywood will host the 10th Annual Athena Film Festival, a yearly celebration of women’s leadership, courage and resilience on view over an engaging weekend of feature films, documentaries and short films that highlight the stories of strong and fearless women. The four-day festival, located at Barnard College in New York City, includes post-screening conversations with directors and talent, as well as workshops for writers and filmmakers, and is one of the most prestigious festivals promoting women in film.
Among the feature films and documentaries included in this year’s festival are I Am Woman, directed by Unjoo Moon, starring Tilda Cobham-Hervey as singer-songwriter Helen Reddy; Harriet, directed by Kasi Lemmons, starring Tony and Grammy-winner and Academy Award-nominee Cynthia Erivo as Harriet Tubman; Lost Girls, directed by Academy Award-nominee Liz Garbus, starring Amy Ryan; and the Academy Award-nominated documentary feature For Sama, directed by Emmy-winners Waad al-Kateab and Edward Watts.
RPJ is an annual sponsor of the Athena Film Festival, and Partners Helen D. “Heidi” Reavis and Nicole Page are proud to serve on the Honorary Host Committee.
