RPJ Hosts Noted Feminist Author and Archivist, Dana Rubin
This past week to celebrate Women’s History Month and Black History Month, RPJ hosted bestselling feminist author Dana Rubin to present on her recent book, Speaking While Female, an anthology of women’s speeches from women of various backgrounds and identities throughout American history. Dana delivered a powerful presentation on the historical tradition of silencing women and persons of color, a struggle amplified for women of color, and her personal struggle to locate female voices in history which motivated her project. Dana works to make women’s speeches more accessible to the public through her open archive, the Speaking While Female Speech Bank, and conducts communication and leadership training, with the motivation of facilitating impactful speech today and in the future. Thank you, Dana, for being a part of this conversation at RPJ!
