A Laudatory Review for Multitude Documentary, Milisuthando
As a follow up to the recent post on the January 21st premiere of Multitude Films’ documentary Milisuthando at the Sundance Film Festival, last week, The Hollywood Reporter published a glowing review of the film.
Reexamining her own experience growing up in apartheid South Africa, director Milisuthando Bongela reflects on the previously segregated white and Black South Africans while including home footage of interviews and contemporaries to document first-hand experiences of integration.
The Hollywood Reporter review notes that, “Milisuthando is an ambitious project that forthrightly navigates the tangled mess we call identities. […] We are left with complicated feelings, yes, but also with a gift, a model of how to thread ourselves between the past, present and future.”
A huge congratulations to our friends and clients Milisuthando Bongela and Multitude Films on a successful premiere!
