Congratulations to Engel Entertainment’s Ben Shank, Jen Egan, Kara Smith, and Julia Jenkins on their Elevated Roles

Warm congratulations to RPJ Client Engel Entertainment on the promotion of several in-house talent, Ben Shank, Jen Egan, Kara Smith, and Julia Jenkins.

Ben Shank has been appointed Chief Content Officer and will oversee all development and programming. The Showrunner and Executive Producer of Engel’s long-running series Lone Star Law and North Woods Law (Discovery/Animal Planet), Shank brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the role.

Additionally, Jen Egan has been promoted to Head of Production and Operations, Kara Smith promoted to Head of Development, and Julia Jenkins promoted to Head of Casting and Talent. In their new roles, the Engel team will continue to develop their high-quality true reality programming while pitching additional series and doc projects to further expand the production company’s footprint.

Engel Entertainment’s new sober reality series, Women on Death Row, profiling the lives and environments of the women in America on death row, is set to premiere on A&E in March 2023.  On a lighter note, additional series are under way including a real estate/design challenge show with expats living in Lisbon, Portugal, and an in-depth look at the operations of front-line US government agencies.
