Howls from Deep in the Woods © 2017 Deep Red Records

Last month, singer-songwriter, and RPJ client, Janel Munoa won the award for “Best New Artist” at the 2019 Indigenous Music Awards in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Ms. Munoa’s debut album, Howls from Deep in the Woods, combines punk rock and soul sounds and earned her nominations for Best Rock Recording and New or Debut Artist of the Year by the Native American Music Awards in 2017 after the record’s release. Ms. Munoa and her husband and creative partner, Alex Vazquez, produced Howls on their indie label Deep Red Records and are currently working on a second album.

RPJ Partner Deena R. Merlen is legal counsel to Ms. Munoa and Deep Red Records.

Many congratulations to our client!
