On Thursday, May 12, 2022, the Read Alliance will hold its “Celebrating the Extraordinary” Annual Gala at the Tribeca Rooftop in New York City. The gala will be hosted by Emmy Award winning meteorologist Audrey Puente and will include cocktails, dinner, music, and auctions.

Read Alliance will be honoring Michael Lubowitz and presenting its Leadership Award to Robert Brown—both long serving and valued board members of Read Alliance. The Alumni Award will be presented to Katy Knight, the Executive Director of the Siegel Family Endowment. The organization will also present its Vision Award to Radhika Jones, Editor-in-Chief of Vanity Fair, in recognition of her promotion of diverse voices and her bringing the power of the written word to a global community.

The Read Alliance works to accelerate the educational trajectory of early elementary students through teens who provide one-on-one literacy tutoring in under-resourced communities in New York. Since its inception in 2000, the organization has served some 15,000 students and 13,000 teen leaders—a dual impact that is the hallmark of Read Alliance’s mission. RPJ Partner Mark Moore is a member of the organization’s Board of Directors and co-chair of its Governance Committee.
