RPJ Client Scores the Top Award at the Oregon International Film Awards
RPJ congratulates our client Engel Entertainment, Inc. on earning the top Platinum Award for Best Documentary Feature at the Oregon International Film Awards for its recent documentary feature Sea Change. The Oregon International Film Awards are presented annually to “the very best in contemporary domestic and international independent cinema and screenwriting” with a focus on global topics. “Oregon International Film Awards are presented each year in several categories including four top recognition levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Awards are limited and presented only to those films and filmmakers that demonstrate a superior level of craftsmanship and quality.”
For Sea Change, the Engel team shaped this dramatic story of courage and partnership from over 800 hours of footage filmed entirely on GoPro cameras, as Afrikaners Riaan Manser and Vasti Geldenhuys battled the elements (and each other) on their perilous voyage across the Atlantic. The film’s previous film festival accolades include the Remi Award and the Special Jury Award at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival and eight other film festival awards and counting.
Congratulations to RPJ’s team of Larry Brocchini, Deena R. Merlen, Mark Moore, Ethan Krasnoo and Niki Bhargava, who assisted behind the scenes with the film, as well as Heidi Reavis, who was an Executive Producer, and the rest of the Engel team on this newest win!
