RPJ Partner Alice Jump Featured in Worklife Article “These Lawsuits Will Define Future RTO and WFH Rights”

Ms. Jump was recently featured in a Worklife article discussing several lawsuits related to shifting work from home policies. At the start of the pandemic in 2020, many workplaces established work from home policies which became especially relevant to vulnerable and disabled populations. As time went on, however, employers established return to office mandates or limited work from home options. Lawsuits followed.

In the article, Ms. Jump focuses on the role of disability in these lawsuits. According to Ms. Jump, “The biggest issue we see is people who don’t want to return to work for some sort of disability claim, either physical or mental illness. The remote work environment has been very beneficial to people with disabilities in terms of getting employment where they might not otherwise have been able to. So, it’s been a boon. Now that there is a return to work impetus, there are issues of whether one has to return to work.” Read more here.
