RPJ Sponsoring 9th Annual Athena Film Festival

From February 28th to March 3rd, the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College and Women and Hollywood will host the 9th Annual Athena Film Festival, a yearly celebration of women’s leadership on view over an engaging weekend of feature films, documentaries and short films highlighting the stories of powerful and courageous women. The four-day festival located at Barnard College in New York City includes post-screening conversations with directors and talent, as well as workshops for filmmakers, and has quickly established itself as one of the most prestigious festivals of its kind.

Among the feature films and documentaries included in this year’s festival are Fast Color, directed by Julia Hart, co-written by Hart and Jordan Horowitz, and starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw; Out of Blue, directed by Carol Morley, starring Patricia Clarkson; Knock Down the House, directed by Rachel Lears, featuring NY Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; and This Is Personal, directed by Academy Award nominee Amy Berg, featuring Tamika Mallory and Erika Andiola.
