RPL Sponsored Fifth Annual Athena Film Festival

From February 5-8, 2015, at the Diana Center at Barnard College, the Athena Film Festival held its fifth annual celebration of women and leadership through an engaging weekend of feature films, documentaries and shorts that highlighted women’s leadership in real life and the fictional world. Reavis Parent Lehrer LLP served as a sponsor of the Festival.

The four-day Festival, which included conversations with female directors and workshops for filmmakers, has quickly established itself as one of the most prestigious festivals of its kind. This year’s Festival saw the premier of Rosie O’Donnell’s new stand-up special, A Heartfelt Stand Up; a documentary on the trailblazing African-American tennis player, Althea Gibson; and lifetime achievement awards to actress Jodie Foster and President of HBO Documentary Films, Sheila Nevins.
