Three RPJ Clients to Premiere Films at Tribeca Film Festival in June

At the upcoming 2022 Tribeca Film Festival, three of RPJ’s clients will premiere documentary feature films as part of the Festival’s Spotlight Documentary, Viewpoints and Documentary Competition selections.  Tickets are available for purchase here.

Naked Gardens, directed by Ivete Lucas and Patrick Bresnan and produced by Tabs Breese, follows the administrators, staffers and residents of a nudist community in Florida. Located in Palm Beach County, the naturist resort houses a residents from various walks of life, hoping to escape judgment and find a place to work on their own insecurities and past traumas.

Filmmakers Sam Pollard and Geeta Gandbhir’s After Selma: The Lowndes County Freedom Party chronicles the fight for the right to vote in 1960 Lowndes County, Alabama. Though the county’s population was 80% Black, there were zero registered Black voters. Weaving together archival footage and first-person testimony, the historical documentary highlights a range of actors involved in the movement, from a young Stokely Carmichael to the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, to white citizens who were content with the status quo.

Finally, Carol & Johnny, produced by the Barnicle Brothers with Words and Pictures Productions, unearths the true story of two of America’s most successful bank robbers. The documentary traces the criminal activities and romance of Carol Marie Williams and Johnny Madison Williams Jr., including interviews with the now-elderly ex-con couple.

RPJ provided production legal services for these films and proudly congratulations our clients on their films’ success!
