“We Are Made in NY” Startup Initiative Launched

On February 19, 2013, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced the launch of “We Are Made in NY,” an economic development initiative to promote the city’s technology and digital sector. The new website, www.WeAreMadeinNY.com, provides access to resources for tech startups, highlights related job opportunities, and features over 900 New York City startups. The initiative also incorporates an advertising campaign to highlight “Made in NY” companies. Companies with at least 75 percent of their development locally based are encouraged to apply.
