Client Engel Entertainment Premieres New Series “Alaska PD”

RPJ client and production company Engel Entertainment will premiere its newest original series, Alaska PD, on A&E Networks to ring in the New Year. The show follows police departments in the diverse areas of Fairbanks, Kodiak, Kotzebue and Petersburg that face the extreme weather, wild animals and weapon-wielding vigilantes, all while being incredibly short-staffed. Coupled with a 15th anniversary special broadcast of the series The Lower 48, the Alaska PD two-night premiere starts on January 1 at 10pm ET and January 2 at 9pm, with new episodes airing every Thursday at 9pm ET.

RPJ provided production legal counsel for the series—ranging from difficult negotiations with all four Alaskan communities and presenting remotely at city council meetings to challenging legal issues arising during production such as privacy rights concerning native populations and missing persons.
