“Mija” Produced by RPJ Clients Chosen as the NY Times’ Critic’s Pick and Playing Free in Select Theatres
Congratulations to Mija produced by RPJ clients Tabitha Breese and Yesenia Tlahuel for being selected as the New York Times’ Critic’s Pick!
The documentary follows the stories of Doris Munoz and Jacks Haupt, the daughters of undocumented Mexican immigrants as they navigate the challenges of the music industry. The two women bond over their shared guilt as first American-born children of undocumented families while chasing their dreams. Mija uniquely portrays a raw look at the struggles immigrants and their children face as they fight for their loved ones, dreams and themselves.
This week until Thursday, August 11th, Mija is available for free screenings at the following select theatres:
IFC Center – New York City
Laemmle Monica – Los Angeles
Laemmle Glendale – Los Angeles
The Roxie Theater – San Francisco
