“Bring Your Own Brigade” by RPJ Client Filmmaker Lucy Walker Named One of the New York Times’ “Best Movies of 2021”

New York Times film critics A.O. Scott and Manohla Dargis have named documentary “Bring Your Own Brigade” one of the best films of the year. Following the 2018 Camp Fire, the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California’s history, the film tells the story of the towns struggling to rebuild while exploring the history of uncontrolled fires and climate change.

The film also explores the United States’ response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Scott writes, “The movie is hardly optimistic, but its open-mindedness, compassion and intellectual rigor provide a buffer against despair.”
