Yesterday, the Sundance Film Festival announced that Mija, directed by Isabel Castro and produced by Tabitha Breese, will participate in its World Cinema Documentary Competition.

The feature follows 26-year-old music manager Doris Muñoz, as she works to launch the career of Chicanx pop stars while navigating her family’s undocumented legal status. When she loses her biggest client, Doris discovers Jacks, another daughter of immigrants.
