RPJ Clients Receive Emmy Nominations for “Free Solo” and “Queer Eye”

RPJ congratulates our firm’s clients Alex Honnold and ITV on their 2019 Emmy nominations. Alex Honnold is the focus of the documentary Free Solo, which follows his 2017 free solo ascent of the Freerider climbing route on the El Capitan granite face in Yosemite National Park. Free Solo won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature and the Best Documentary Award at the BAFTAs (the UK Oscars) this year for co-producers and directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin. We are excited to share that Free Solo has now been nominated for seven Emmy awards.

Similarly, RPJ client ITV has picked up six Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Structured Reality Program, for its show Queer Eye. Queer Eye follows the Fab Five (food and wine specialist Antoni Porowski, interior designer Bobby Berk, grooming consultant Jonathan Van Van Ness, fashion designer Tan France and culture expert Karamo Brown) as they bridge gaps, transform lives and advocate for LGBTQIA+ acceptance. Season 4 of Queer Eye will premiere this Friday, July 19 on Netflix. Can you believe?!*
