Complaints of Discrimination in the Workplace Hit Record Levels in 2010

According to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, private sector workplace discrimination charge filings hit record levels with nearly 100,000 filed during fiscal year 2010.  http://www.eeoc.gov/eeoc/newsroom/release/1-11-11.cfm.  Filings alleging unlawful retaliation (36,258) surpassed filings alleging discrimination based on race (35,890) as the most frequently filed charge, while allegations of unlawful discrimination based on religion (3,790), disability (25,165) and age (23,264) increased.
