Congratulations to RPJ’s Nicole Page and Daniel Ain on their DOC NYC Panel!

This past Friday, RPJ Attorneys Nicole Page and Daniel Ain presented a panel at the Fall 2023 DOC NYC festival on “Documentary Ethics and the Law”. The panel, which was sponsored by RPJ and Hulu, featured clients Jess Devaney, Nicholas Bruckman, Viridiana Lieberman, and Beth Aala who provided key insight into documentary ethics from the perspective of the filmmaker.

Topics discussed in the panel included issues of consent in documentary filmmaking, the ethics of compensating subjects, the potential future role of AI in documentaries, and more. Nicole and Dan guided the conversation, offering key insights into the evolving legal realities of the documentary industry.

The panel was well attended and a rewarding experience for all involved.
