RPL Hosts American Book Producers Association Luncheon on Risk and Exposure
Last week, Reavis Parent Lehrer LLP hosted the American Book Producers Association for a discussion titled Risk and Exposure for Book Producers: Legal Issues, Relevant Trends and Remedies.
Helen D. “Heidi” Reavis, Reavis Parent Lehrer Managing Partner and Principal, Nicole Page, Partner and Head of Reavis Parent Lehrer’s Entertainment Group and Mark H. Moore, Partner in Reavis Parent Lehrer’s Litigation Group, led an in-depth exploration of the legal issues book producers often face, including product liability, copyright violations and slander, as well as navigating often complex life rights and digital media issues. Mr. Moore, Ms. Reavis and Ms. Page also shared possible legal strategies that can be used to mitigate those risks, such as indemnification clauses, open court litigation and binding arbitration.
