Nafsika Karavida joins Deena Merlen as Co-Chair of CT Chapter of LES (USA and Canada)
We are pleased to announce that RPJ Associate Nafsika Karavida is joining RPJ Partner Deena R. Merlen as Co-Chair of the Connecticut Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society (LES) of the USA and Canada, an independent professional organization that facilitates global intellectual property commerce through education, networking, standards development and certification. Founded over 50 years ago, LES is a member society of the Licensing Executives Society International, Inc., comprised of licensing and intellectual property professionals across national and regional societies located in more than 90 countries. The Connecticut Chapter, one of over 35 LES Chapters located across the United States and Canada, hosts meetings for LES members and outside speakers to present on and learn about technology transfer and intellectual property licensing (patent, trademark and copyright).
As noted by Ms. Merlen, who heads RPJ’s Connecticut practice, “Nafsika is admitted to practice not only in Connecticut and New York, but also in the European Union and Sweden, and as a patent attorney (limited recognition) appearing before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. With so many LES members involved in patent licensing, and given the organization’s global focus, I am thrilled to see Nafsika appointed to this pivotal leadership role and look forward to working with her in this additional capacity.” We at RPJ are proud that another member of our intellectual property practice group has such a wonderful opportunity to give back to the IP community we serve.
