Jill Kahn Marshall Discusses Guidelines for Vulnerable Workers Returning to Work Amidst COVID-19
With offices reopening around the world, employers everywhere have to figure out what they can and should do to keep their workplaces safe and accommodate employees with health concerns. In a new article for the European American Chamber of Commerce, RPJ Partner Jill Kahn Marshall collaborates with Matthew Kyle, an Associate Director at UK-based law firm Osborne Clarke, to discuss the varying approaches to the issue in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. Marshall focuses on the guidelines available for employers and employees in the United States, including accommodating workers with mental illness, the undue hardship defense, and instituting workforce protections and policies for older workers and pregnant workers. The authors also discuss the corresponding guidelines in place for employees and employers in the United Kingdom and the European Union.
